Ok so I got stuck at the beach and I got pulled out from the rear and when I tied the strap to my frame behind the pumper it pulled out the wires going to my tail lights and the licence plate lights. But i tried to splice them back together and my turn signals wont work, and to make matters worse after this my cruise control wont set and my AC is blowing hot air, and when i go from park to reverse it wont go unless i use a heavy amount of force and when in drive it isnt shifting right. Could I have messed up my transmission or is it all the wiring being messed up.

    i drive a 07 prerunner SR5 with 4.0 V6

this is my first thread so hopefully i did it all right?

The reason the cruise won't work is because of it being tail light related.

Due to the way the system is wired, the turn signals run off a different fuse than the hazards. Thus hazards will still work if turn signals are inop. That is why the turn signals do not work, but the flashers do. I would recommend checking all of the related fuses.

as far as your shiter being stuck in Park (P) and you having to use "Force".....it was probably locked because of a fuse blown dealing with wires with the taillights/towing harness. locate your fuse under your dash that says IGN 1 fuse it'll be a 10amp, its probably blown. that will affect your shifter and AC

I'm not sure, but it's a good idea to go through both, pull every fuse, inspect, and put it back if it look good.

replace that one and your shifter will become unlocked and AC will blow cold again.
