why do people keep saying older? the correct division would be 05-10, 11 & 12-13. there are 3 2nd gen oem types not 2. i voted 2011. one yr of it makes it limited more than the multiple yr ones imo. 1st gens could have their own version of this in that section.

I've owned both so 2012 or in my case 2013. I'm definitely a fan of the razor sharp look it reminds me of a sports car while still having some balls and the front valence

I changed mine out for an aftermarket one that I feel goes better with my Black and Silver look I'm going for. I realize some may not like it but the flat black looks far better than what Toyota had on it. I thought of going with the mesh grill but will be installing URD CAI in the next few weeks and wanted to shield it from water when driving in the rain. c385b89e-e894-4f7b-bba5-9244091872b5_zps_2f0665c9541cf6a930fe951308939da0cb30d884.jpg

I like the newer ones better even though I have a 2011. I like mine just fine but I like the update on the new ones. Not enough to change mind you but they look good IMO.

Now the one in the OP's first picture looks like shit with that bull bar. Makes it look like the truck has a huge under bite.

Here is what I did to mine.

I am biased as well & love the grill on my 2006, but also think the SKEWP looks way better on the older models as well! I am anxious to see what the new models will look like because that will probably be the only way I ever get rid of mine if I like it enough. I'll wait for the 2nd year though so they can work out some bugs first!

I have the older, but I like the 2012. It looks bull dogish and tough. I like it.

I like the grille on my 2012 better than the older ones, but the older headlights look a lot better.

The 2012+ looks pretty sweet with nice lines. Though if there is an aftermarket bumper involved I prefer the older style. Actually 2010 is the best because that's what I have :p

I love my 2012 with the grill craft grill. Gets rid of the Toyota emblem and looks a lot cleaner.

I like the 12+ grill but I hate the chrome that comes with the OR package. $200+ to buy a color matched one. Going to bite the bullet as soon as I find a way to get a color matched rear bumper as well. STUPID CHROME.
