    Hi guys,

I regularly have to make the 600 mile trip between my home and the university I go to, and it is 98% highway. I really wish my Tacoma had cruise control for that all-too-often trip. How difficult would it be to add either Toyota cruise control or an after market system? At what kind of cost?

That is not a cruise control and is extremely dangerous.

The 2nd gen is drive by wire. The cruise control is built into the ECU circuitry. On the US-made trucks, all that is needed is a cruise control stalk and a clutch safety switch.

Thanks...I assume that the build date sticker will tell me if my truck was made in the US? Is the cruise control stalk difficult to add?

I have an automatic. Cruise and intermittent wipers was completed in 15 minutes in the parking lot at work with nothing more than my multi-tool (I have torx bits).
The manual requires some additions on the clutch pedal, but it's still not difficult.

Your '07 should be a Fremont truck. It was some of the later '08 and '09 that were made in Mexico during the transition from Fremont to Texas.
