LMAO!!!!:p I used to have aqua trends on my old Blazer. I forgot the size but it was fun, felt more bumps than I did comfort but I didn't build it for comfort, BUILT THAT BISH FOR STREET HOPPIN!!! :D but I don't think it would look nice. imo, the wheel gap will piss you off. ;)

DERRRR lol, I know. I'm not even going to get the OE shocks or QA1's. No I'm going to go a diff route and just add to my air suspension for the rear.

    Plan theory:
Helper bags (since I had them already installed, and will be reinstalling)
lift in lbs. is 1600lbs total (800lbs each bag)

Air shocks by Monroe (posted previous model # a couple pages back)
lift in lbs. is 1200lbs total (600lbs each shock)

total amount of lbs. 2800lbs. more than enough to hold up a bike and then some without bottoming out :D

"hence my afe cold air intake for sale and not much action on my build lately"

seen what that SOB was doing. NOT FKN COOL  NOT COOL AT ALL

I think that's the HARDEST part. Worse when you see this and that and it's only like a couple bucks BUT your brain just hits you and says your saving up ... then again what's a couple bucks gonna harm anything ... SMH easy mods BUT weigh it all out and you could have bought yourself some "cherry" goodies with the total amount you spent on the mods LMAO (hope that makes sense).

Hahah yeah I hate wheel gap I just like make for fun run small ores to each the road ckean
I know how bumps feel and doesnt help that my front struts are gone haha
And yeag that made since I see u I see you I really wanna have a shop look into modifying my uca to help bring my wheel back out and being adjustable woukd be great too so we will see also looking into headers, finish the exhaust to the rear cuz the drone is too much, tint and new struts, and also possibly bigger blocks notch the rear Crossmember and maybe do a larger notch down the road

Damn I want to buy so mich more too but I need to pay off sone stuff I bought already plus my dirtbike lol crap. I have a rich man's spending habits with a middle cllass wallet lol. I'm really having a hard time putting my roadmaster system back on because it raises me up at least an inch :*( its not like I tow my bike everyday. Helper bags may have been a better choice for me. Still need to get my truck in and have my seals checked for that leak too. So I should not even be thinking of headers ha ha ha. Taconaworld is poison lol, I need rehab!!

Got a question. Looking for stiffer springs and so far I like the quality of parts and service from XII. Was looking at a pic of xrunner shocks and it looks like the TRD pre runner shocks minus the 2-1/2" extension. Anyone have an idea if the spring diameters are the same. Wondering if I can swap out just the springs with the XII ones. Put them on my trd shocks. It probably won't fit, there's no reason for them to fit but was just wondering if anyone knew. Anyone happen to know the compressed length of the xrunner spring? Sorry to steal space on your thread but I know you and the guys thast check this page have torn apart their suspensions tons of times. There's a chance someone might know or have a spring lying around. Thanks

The spring is the same as it would be on a 5 lug (XR is mainly a base model with a 4.0L in it and semi beefed up suspension to compensate for the added torque/power/etc. from the 4.0L) but about I think a 1" or so of drop. You MIGHT be able to pull it off due to the lower mounting plate (what keeps the bottom of the spring locked in place and from bottoming out - if that were not shaped the way it was with the little dip, the spring would turn and you would hear odd clunking noises which would be from the spring) not being static (permanent) like how it is on the base model shocks. Hell you might even get lower cause with 6 lug shocks, there is added height (notice on the bottom of your stocks, looks like a rod at the bottom of your shock to the "eye" of the shock - on base/XR's, that is NOT there and it's just the "eye" at the bottom of the shock; like on the rear in a sense).

I would measure or get the total extended/compressed measurements of an OE 6 lug front shock and then do the same with the XR billy and see if they are within range. If so, the last part is a matter of "will this plate fit" or not. Also there is a small bracket on the side of the shock (base model/XR) that is for the brake line, you can cut that off. Not sure how the brake lines to the front of a 6 lug are ran, but make sure that part isn't in the way of anything :(

Ha. Going have to put some pushbrooms in your bumper to keep the leaves from piling up in front of your car.

After looking at some pics, it looks like the spring will fit both the perch and top plate but isn't long enough to safely work even clipped into the bottom perch. Kinda bummed. Don't think the xr shock/spring assembly will fit without a strut spacer. That is still an option but for later on down the road. I tried to add it up with my estimation skills and I think I may need a 3" shock spacer which shouldn't be to hard to make or buy. Already have the parts to switch over to trd shocks. Going to switch to that as plan a, and plan b will be the x shock and spacer if it still doesn't come firm enough.

Kinda bummed. Was hoping all I'd have to do was order springs. Ah well. Thanks though. Almost done with suspension. I caved. Found a set of 18" factory chrome clad wheels locally. Going to run the tires on them til no good then try find some smaller ones. So much for saving. Thanks again.

She looks good though. been curious as to how a 4 door would look lowered (not the mini truckin one, yours has a 6ft. bed). Dammit GIMME YOUR SWITCH BACKS!!! lol for real though I want me some bad now :( But I still need to save up some for the rest of the rear set-up that I'm doing. I HATE having to wait :(

gears in my brain started to roll again

    https://www.google.com/search?safe=...urce=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=dLogUqy9C62JiwLkkoHoAg

wondering if this is possible ... how?

    My theory:

DIY coilover - since all that is needed is a seat and perch for a spring (considering that it IS able to handle the front of the vehicle) I am looking into other vehicle shocks to see what fits/works/is shit. Only problem is a brake line bracket (one that will resume the function of the OE bracket on the OE shock), although this is NOT as much of a problem, my main problem is a garage/area to do the work in to test my theory :(

Was looking at torspeeds front setup. Need the adapter plate on top and then game on I guess. Just can't figure out where to start searching and what info I need. Hopefully I can cheat and get some more info from tor. His shocks and hardware came out to $1800 but I'm hoping to find something along the $600 department. I'm already over budget, was supposed to stop with the original tundra racing kit. Good luck though. I'll let you know if I learn anything more.

lol, g/l with finding something around the $600 range (well for now that is). Imo, see if you can get some info from Torspeed. That or peep the build thread (if there is one) to get an idea of what is going on with the front. Overall though how is your truck riding? A friend of mine told me that Hawaii's roads are fairly bumpy. :(
