I have the same lift as OZ-T with the top plate spacers and it's a firm ride but I like it like that. It rides and drives like a 4x4 should. The factory ride felt like a cadillac to me. No bueno. No, I didn't void my warranty.

Yup full 3" kit. Hell I'll have to measure again. I measured when I put it on but lost the sheet I wrote it on for your thread. Measurment is different now anyway. I was sitting way high till it settled.

Yeah. Was like $1280 shipped over here with Dakars. I bought the LR UCA's off a group buy on here before I bought the lift. If you use Toytec don't forget to ask about the discount for TW members.

You do realize Toytec is in no way associated with Toyota, right? The kits they sell are not Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) components. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prevents car companies from voiding warranties unless they can prove the failure was directly a result of the aftermarket part. If you are still concerned about your warranty wait until it expires to lift your truck or have your dealership install a dealer approved kit for you.

I didn't think toytec was associated with Toyota. I wanted to see what would be my options to lift but not void my warranty. I believe I have a 5 year warranty.. don't want to wait that long to lift it. so could I use any lift kit I want to?

yes, to void the warranty on a part that broke toyota would have to prove that the lift caused it.

if a part did break how hard does Toyota try to prove that a lift kit caused the problem?

I'm not sure, but IMO there won't be a problem unless you push the truck to hard or you screw up the lift install.

If it was a issue we'd be seeing threads on "dealer won't warranty because of aftermarket"
