Same! well mine is pretty obviously a chick truck now with the pink stuff on it so I don't get questioned anymore. but I get pulled over all the time! Drives me crazy. and its always for stupid stuff. My last ticked was for 5 over the speed limit! I don't get it but oh well. I'm just hoping what he told me works or I can at least get it reduced.

The pink helps i would think???? I have pink stickers on mine. And really girly stuff hanging from the rear view.

I would suggest a less modded out awesome truck to avoid the unwanted attention  My last truck was only modded on the inside and no one noticed it.

Yeah I hear ya there I put pink on mine started as a joke to my guy friends and then I liked it so kept going! I used to have a lifted 98 4runner.. never had any issues there and it had quite a bit done to it outside... I never get pulled over in my diesel which surprises me since its a trouble maker to begin with. but oh well the mods are fun haha they give me something to do on the weekend :)

Well went up some trails Friday night and ended up as scwabby the next day for new tires  the retreads that I had started seperating and that was not a risk I wanted to take.. Was hoping to wait a couple more weeks to buy them but I didn't want to push it. So $2300 later I got new wheels and tires. Turns out my old wheels wouldn't work for a bigger size tire as they were too narrow..

After spending almost 4 hours at Les Schwab with them trying to find a wheel in the style I wanted with the right offset with a tire that wouldn't rub on my UCA I ended up with 18's for the rims (I wasn't too excited about the bigger rims at first but i actually like it now) and some Toyo MTs 275/70r18.

I will say that even with spending half my day there the service was pretty awesome. They stayed after closing by a couple hours because they were determined to figure out something that would work even when I told them i could bring it back Monday. They also cut my bill significantly (about $70 a tire) which I appreciated. And they also prorated a sale that they are planning to have next month which took a percentage off the wheels as well. So it all turned out great and I love my new wheels and tires :)

there was a lot of trying to flex it out to see if it would rub.. I think they were having a little too much fun. I was thoroughly amused though!

Thanks! An yeah I basically just look on the map for a few areas and then go and see how far I can get. This was like a 200 mile round trip but was definitely fun. The places you can find are amazing!

Mmm huh. A year and a half ago when I got my truck "I am leaving this one alone. What could I possibly do to make it better?"

Now "OMG I need more money because the thousands of dollars I have already spent isnt enough. I want this and this and this and someday even this!!!!"

    Damn it TW

Hate to burst your Les Schwab bubble, but they got you good. You could have EASILY fit wider tires on your old wheels, even wider than 275's.

On the plus side, your new wheels are way nicer than your old ones, IMO. I almost bought the same ones.

Right, I kno they could have got wider ones but they didn't have wheels in stock with the right offset. Soooo given I kinda needed it fixed they just made what they had in stock work which I'm totally fine with! And thanks I like the wheels. I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out!

Whoops just re read. They did say they could put the wider tires on my old wheels but I chose not too cuz I didn't want them to balloon out. Like I've had happen in the past, I think it looks funky lol plus it was a good excuse to get new wheels :) I like them wayy better then the old ones!

Are you getting any rubbing with the tires?

I wanted to make this question more ambiguous.

No rubbing but its close. They trimmed my fenders in one place but if I go over a big bump at a decent speed while turning they slightly rub on the fenders. So going to trim some more. No rubbing on the UCAs though or anywhere else!

I've go those same rubbing issues while turning but I haven't done any trimming yet. Which means I need to get the right tools for the job.
