Terra Grappler is a great tire. I thuroughly enjoyed both sets that i ran. If i were to go back to an all terrain, it would be the TG.

as for the 285, your lift height doesn't matter. the work to clear the tire is the same regardless. unless you run aftermarket wheels with less backspacing, you will need wheel spacers on the front, to avoid rubbing the upper control arm. there will probably be a need for some trimming of the fender/pinch weld/cab mount, but you won't know if that's needed or how much is required until you get them on. since you are keeping the swaybar on, you will have to trim less than most. you rub the most when the suspension is fully compressed, with the wheels turned. with a swaybar on, that scenario is very rare. so you can fit them fairly easily, just know that it won't be as simple as having the tire shop mounting them up and then driving off good to go.

You'll have a front bumper and I'll have my rear for the food and wheel deal in early October.

 

Called my dealer about the seat belt recall, was told they could fix it, came down to the dealer, no fix is ready. Goodbye afternoon, it was nice knowing you

 

what dealership did you go to? Toyota of Melbourne isn't full of the brightest folks.

 

REALLY?!?! You just pm'd me and you could have asked me. I could have told you there's no fix for it yet. It's still in the preliminary stage trying to finalize the repair and make the parts.

 

we just crunched some numbers for a big LNG facility we are going to be starting construction on next summer. just getting the piping installed for the facility (over 300,000 linear feet), is going to take over 1.3 million man-hours

 

Lol, how'd you guess? I usually get good service there, they're the ones who helped me get a refund on my undercoating that my selling dealer "forgot" to do.

My local dealer said I must have gotten a receptionist, not a service tech, who made my appointment. Still no excuse for making me wait over an hour at the dealer until discovering there is no fix. On the plus side I got free replacement license plate screws.

sweet, I think i might just go with the 265s, dont have the money atm to get the spacers, but I really do like the look of the 285s though >_< gahhhhhh, why cant things be cheaper....

Jason, My BAMF sliders came from the original owner in Tenn. He did as per Fastenal and dropped them off. Fastenal did the labels. Well it was 4 weeks from Tenn to West Palm. I actually had to go to my local Fastenal, took them a couple days to find the sliders, stuffed in a corner with labels that fell off. I'm sure yours will do better, but Fed Ex they are not.
