Your CCW doesn't provide an exemption? California's does. Only place we can't carry is courthouses and other "sensitive" government buildings, and establishments where the primary business is serving alcohol. Chili's is cool, the corner bar is not (and you can't drink while carrying anyways)

Nope. I can keep it in my truck, but that's about it. I do carry a 5" buck knife with me, though.

It ain't Hollywood guys. If you aren't already drawing when your attacker is more than 10ft away, it will not end in your favor even if he is armed with a knife.
Someone sneaking up from behind, things are going to go his way.

You aren't going to get half the mag into his chest because you are going to have one in your head before your first round hits his leg.

Don't the Israeli special forces guys carry unchambered? I think they're trained to rack a bullet in just a few milliseconds. Some of the baddest dudes on the planet...behind the SEALs, of course

No I haven't. I don't exude "easy victim," either. I also know where I belong and know how to conduct myself around rough people and rough areas.

No problems. Let me guess what your reply will be..

Fun thread to peruse when your victim's attorney is researching their case against you.

    Please train.

And please adapt the mindset of never, ever wanting to have to even draw your weapon if you can at all help it.

I live in Canada, it is illegal to carry hand guns here. Even if I could carry a gun I wouldn't as I am not military or a cop. I posted this in the wrong thread last night.

I don't have a concealed carry, but after my dad was murdered I've been carrying in my vehicle since, and plus I often drive out of county. It's a Taurus 1911

Don't carry, but if I did the last thing I'd do would be to carry with a live round in the chamber.
