I looked at this one, there are more options for more power with the Vortech from what I've seen.

If you want a simple bolt on, Innovate twin screw is the way to go.

A girl with a brz in Maryland had it installed for all of 2 weeks before pulling it. I'd look into the vortech after talking with her

Did she say what the problem was? Vortech seems to be the more popular option. I just liked how the Innovate linear used the torque.

    Edit: linearized

The Vortech claims 294 hp and 210 ft tq...without the turbo lag...and they just came out with a blow off valve too, sounds like a fucking beast lol.

I see Richard creepin, I know he posted a few pics a while back of a meet, one white FRS had a Vortech, maybe he can chime in as to the awesomeness of it.

just for the money it wasnt worth it, not much power gain.

Saw that somewhere else, will look into that when I get home. I got the money to go whatever route just need to decide.

I was just about to reply and I had a customer come in. Yeah, the SWP from the pics I posted has the Vortech kit with their stock tune and he's in the 240whp range IIRC. He's also got a resonated Perrin kit. Sounds mean, but not outrageous like some of the turbo kits I've heard. We're talking about having another meet soon...I'll get more details on his plans next time we get together.

I think Vortech started off the supercharger battle on the right foot and the rest are struggling. Their kits are complete and have a fully integrated intercooler in each kit. Tuned for different stages etc.

I'd say with a Vortech, a few built internals, a good tune and exhaust with fuel management and some NOS...you'd had have Dom Toretto in a heartbeat.

EDIT: 240 whp? We are typically in the 170 whp range stock...I'd like to see what I could do with 240 lol!

He said everything about the kit was top notch with exception of the install guide...I can't remember what the issues were exactly, but I do remember them being very counter-intuitive work-arounds to get it all in correctly.

As far as what we're ending up with at the wheels bone stock, depending on atmospheric conditions (i.e. elevation, air temps/density) I've seen anywhere from 150-170whp. And of course some people don't mention what dyno they're getting their numbers from. But yeah, 240 whp...madness!

    Oh?? Shibby!

The blow off valve in my Xrunner sounds like a beast too. Beautiful.

Though you'll reach a point where you start stressing strange components. I'd highly recommend learning where that point is BEFORE any of ya start modding. Like with the Tacoma, a lot of issues arise after the 350 whp benchmark. There's a reason I built mine to 340 whp ;)

They were invaluable in my Taco in the winter time...they're on my short list to get a hold of.

Well the FRS doesn't get driven much in the winter for me and the Taco has weathertechs.
