    E with fuel light usually equates to 3-4 gallons left in your tank before it's completely empty. My 12 (11.9 in actuality) gallon tank is at E with the fuel light on and I have never filled more than 10 gallons in 7 years, and generally between 9 and 9.75 gallons.
