Should get mine today!

Got my Depo housings on Friday, and they look amazing. Much better than stock, I just hope they last. Planning to use the sealant that TRS provides, and will probably also use some silicone sealant on the outside of the seam, when everything is back together.

 

Has anybody ordered on this round yet? I'm think the gf might do some mini h1's with halos for my birthday. She's a keeper

 

Hell yeah!! And I think afroman is the only one so far. I got money in hand ready to spend but I ain't waitin for 4+ weeks for it to ship to me, if we can't get 10. I'll just pay full price for it if its gonna be too long. Haha

 

Haha ef that noise. The non gb price for the mini h1's with halos is $320 and the gb price is $240... I'll wait.

Should only take 2-3 weeks, think that's all it took for the last one.

Just got mine today! Looks great. Going to try and work on installing them on Thursday.

So just to confirm, after installing everything, and installing the sealer that came from TRS, we reassemble, bake, and then clamp and put all the screws back in the housing?

 

I've got one, purchased a year ago.
Haven't had a chance to install the 2nd set that I got for my wife's car last spring.

 

Glad I came across this thread will def be doing this when I get my '14 taco. 25% is pretty damn good. Wish the discount didn't exclude the svs bulbs those are the ones I want.

 

I will probably put my order in before I get the '14 just to help you guys out then I'll have something to do as soon as I get it home from the dealer. Going to go with the fx-R stage IV kit with svs bulbs. What shield do you guys prefer? I kinda like the look of the Apollo 2.0 I'm also going to go with the 3in projector. Can't decide if halo's would be cool or not and what color would look best on a black truck amber or white.. red would be sick but that's probably not going to happen.

 

So does anyone know the best way to mount angel eyes to the front og the apollo shroud? So far I've gotten some line tied around them in a few places like the TRS site said to do. Can I also put a little bit of silicone behind it to hold it down, or will that be too much heat for the glue?

 

Think I've mostly seen people use JB Weld to attach the eyes to reduce the possibility of moisture or failure when baking. Haven't done this, but what I've read in the retrofit threads.

PS: Jamie, u should make a write up on how to do the retrofit lol. I too have a 2013.... and i cant really find a DETAILED write up for retrofitting.... All just PICTURES w/o explanation....
