Recently I put a Toytec 2.5" LIFT KIT W/REAR Blocks into my 08 2.7L Tacoma but have been running stock Wheel and tires all summer. Now that My tires are becoming somewhat bald, it's time for new ones. This brings up the question of what the largest sizes tire is that I could fit without it rubbing/having to do any trimming or if anyone can show me how to calculate the size.

If you don't want to trim any 265/75/16's are the biggest. However with minor trimming you can run 285/75/16's no problem.

By Trimming, do you mean just trimming the fender where ever the tire rubs or is there a certain method to it? Depending on the difficulty is how i am going to decide.

You'll be able to see where the tire is rubbing at. You can use an exacto knife or razor to cut off most and then smooth down with a file or something similar. Normally people hear "trimming" and freak out. Normally the amount of trimming in minimal and once done nobody will notice unless they're specifically looking for it.

I know this is an old post but I am having a hard time finding pics of the Toytec lift I am looking at installed on a Taco.

I have an '06 and aside from it being a double cab it looks similar to this.

Is this just the 2.5" spacers up front and the block in the back? I was going to go with the AAL in the back but I don't think it would make a difference to the look you have vs what I would get. You've now been running it a couple years (assuming you still have it per your profile info). How do you like it? Any issues? What tires are you running? Any rubbing? I currently have 265/70/17Rs and eventually will want to run a tad bigger.

I was also going to do a wheel spacer to move them out a bit from the side of the truck but that is beside the point. I just want to know how you like the lift. Looks good, I like the stance. It is what I am looking for assuming this is the 2.5" Toytec.
