Those 883s will settle after a 500 miles or so. Especially if you load down the truck.

Yeah I'm not worried about it. Like I said it sits pretty even as is

Anyone with Deaver 8's? I'm tring to figure out what setup to go with in the front, at least to keep things level. My Donahoes are worn and plan on replacing them vs rebuild. Daily driver with factory bumper. Would the 881's work alone or should I add the trim packer.

I've spent the last couple of day reading this thread and I'm sold. OME setup for me. I think this is exactly what I need. This and 32X11.50's. Thanks everyone for all of the input shared here.

I forget... why did you go with 883s with no aftermarket bumper weight or winch?

We both did it for the same reason: because we wanted to cause more confusion on the OME coil topic.

But seriously, I don't know why he went with them. But I did so I could add a bumper eventually. I didn't want to overlift with 882s while I waited for a bumper.

I know this is going to sound dumb. Since I did read this whole thread. But after all of the hours of work (late nights & early mornings) I forgot some/most of what I've read. Does anyone run 33x10.5xR15 (I'm not sure if that's the correct size. Maybe 33x12.50R15) tires with stock suspension? I really want to purchase some General Grabbers and they are not available in 32. I cant afford the OME suspension and tires together. Since the inside of the tread is worn on the truck I just got I was thinking I should get those first. Oh yeah my truck is a 98 4x4 V6.

Realistically, the largest tire you can run with no lift would be a 32. Even then, on a stock suspension with lots of wear and tear on the odometer, a 32x11.5-15 on stock wheels might require some clearancing. Most likely in the pinch weld area when turning.

A 33x10.5-15 might mount up but would probably be undrivable because of massive rubbing.

There is no easy way to do this when your on a tight budget but the correct way is to start with a lift, not tires.

Thanks Digiratus. That at least puts my mind at ease as to tire size purchase for now. With the OME setup should I be able to get to 33x10.50R15? Thanks again.

No I don't have to. Not at all. I just got it in my head since I was going to purchase new tires I wanted to get the largest available. Also with the OME setup I'm afraid the truck will look "funny" with 31x10.50R15's. I really dislike a giant gap between the body and tires, kind of how new Chevy's look with the giant wheel wells and "tiny" looking tires.

32's Do seem like the way to go. What brand tires do you use? I was sort of set on the general grabbers because of what I had read on here about their off road capabilities and the relative quietness on road. I know BF Goodrich A/T are popular also. The shop I called about pricing said the 32's are more expensive than the 33's due to the lack of options/rarity of the tire.

Thanks for all of the info m3bassman . I feel like I'm thread jacking this thread. So the talk of tires should probably come to an end. Back to OME Suspension!!! :stayontopic:

You have a v6 or 4cyl? And how are your CV angles with the 883's, aren't those a little much with no additional weight on the front?
