So I searched for something on here and really couldn't find an answer so a thread open is I guess the way to go.

I have a 2011 Trd offroad Access cab. Im running Fox 2.5 remote resi coilovers set at 3", TC unibals, moog tie rod ends, and cab mount chopped, no plastic as I have 3in glas from mcneil

When backing up at full lock im hearing a pop from the front of the truck. It seems to really do it on an incline, and it doesn't have to be a big incline either.

Talked with another member that all we have in common is the 2.5 remote resi coilvers, and he is seeming to have the same issue.

    Anybody have an idea?????????????????????

I'll add that I have the same sound.

Exact same shock, main difference is I have LR ball joints..and everything else stock. I am that other said member. :anonymous:

Popping..clunk...whatever you wanna call it :p

I did crank up the shocks a bit..but I did have the same clunk at stock height...some say its cause they are either fully extended or compressed all the way..i seriously doubt both of those being it does it on my driveway as well and it isnt a big change.

Almost want to add that this happens at not just full lock. I have had it pop..clunk going straight over a odd bump.

Its your steering stops. You can grease them and it will stop. That's what I did when I had stock lowers.

I had a similar issue on my 4Runner. Figured out, it was the sway bar, the sway bar relocate pushed it so far forward that it kept making contact with the skid plate.

Got mine from DSM and they said it was the stock from Fox. I do get the flexing part..its does it worst over irregular bumps..worst being turning left onto a road that is lower than the current one so the front drivers side goes down then CLUNK..and a few clunks as I got over it. I am going to see if i get it to clunk on my driveway and if so take some pics where it happened.

I have the same thing, moved my swaybar and I still have it. I chalk it up to cv binding or something similar.

I had this noise on my 11, and now it's on my 12. The 11 pop came from the alignment tech (my only guess) not torquing the LCA bolts, I went out and put them all at 88 ft lbs and the pop noise stopped. The 12 I am in now makes the exact noise, I go out with my torque wrench and put them at 88 ft lbs again, it stops for a week but comes back afterwards. I just left it alone, maybe something will break so I can fix it.

My long travel tundra kings pop sometimes. It's just the shocks moving around not sure if that's the case with your shocks

Sounds like the sway bar. Metal under tension. Maybe is your sway bar bushings are bad and the extra travel is putting more pressure through it? Disconnect you're sway bar from the driver side and see if it stops. You don't have to remove both ends links just one side to unload the system.

I'll take the skid/sway off and try again.

Took the skid and sway bar off and redid the backyard course and no popping! BINGO!

I find it hard that the bushings are bad..but yes..it must be putting too much stress on it. How to fix that..not sure..I kind of need to have the sway bar installed as I do lots of highway/road driving..

it shouldnt be too hard they are two pieces i think...if you can see the bushing clamps you can do it...i have never tried to access them.

You trucks pretty new maybe just spray some silicone lube on them...

Update mine doesn't do it like the video either. Only when backing up at full lock mostly.

Removed my sway bar and still have same issue.
