I know it's Kelley Blue Book, and excellent condition. But is it private party, trade-in, or retail value? And if you look up the value on KBB's website, it makes you enter the mileage to see a value, but I thought the mileage doesn't matter for the recall? If you look at the actual hard-copy Blue Book, it lists a value based on average miles for the year, is this what they go on?

    1.5x KBB excellent retail value.

not sure what they do about the mileage.

i think mileage does matter in determining what the truck is worth...but the condition should be listed as excellent...regardless of condition

A lot of places use the NADA values also

    http://www.nada.com/

You know, that little orange/brown book you can get at the bookstore.

The values might also be determined by their insurance/s
