At Firestone right now getting an alignment. (Which btw, lifetime is on sale for 139) told them 0 toe, 0 camber, and as close to 3 caster as possible. We will see.

    Shitty... :/

They apparently had two newer guys workin on it. The kid asked.. is this all aftermarket? No.. new UCAs, shocks and coils. He replies with... why don't you have new spindles. Dont you need them. With the most confused look. Needless to say.. after 2 hours they couldn't get it where I wanted at 0 camber 0 toe and 3 caster. They got it to driveable.. and I have to go back today so a more experienced tech can do it. I should them this thread and everyone's numbers.. we will find out today.

ok, here it is.. numbers came out great. Camber might need a tad of adjusting.. other than that, the vibes i was having and alignment issues of the tires catching the rear of the fenders.. have been fixed. now tho.. they grab the front of the fenders.. just gonna have to trim. no biggie.

Well... the vibes are still there. Most prominent from 50-65. Im running out of ideas. Should I try a road force balance?

Ok. One more post and also a BUMP.. lol

Figured out the vibes.. lost a hub ring somewhere.. so pulled one from the rear and put it on the front. Ordered another set.

But.. as far as alignment.. it seems to pull right a bit and wanders.. would this be from the Positive Camber I seem to have?

High caster should help with wandering, low caster would make it worse, so that may not be your problem. Did you just go up to wider tires? Also does it pull right even if you are on the other side of the road crown, like in the fast lane of a divided highway?

Right. I asked them for as close to 3* caster as possible. They got pretty close. The Camber is what's making me curious. The tires are the same size as previous. And yes, regardless of crown in the road. Steering just feels "loose, and jerky"

I misread your post, i read high caster instead of camber. I'm not really sure, i guess you can always bring it back.

My gut is that since they made many adjustments it is wise to recheck the numbers. If I were a betting man I would say that the recheck will yield different numbers. Watch them get the initial readings and compare.

If those numbers are actually correct then you should drop caster 0.3-0.5 on the left side to account for the wandering/crown.

Just upgraded to 35" tires and decided to take a trip to Firestone to get my caster bumped up to give more room at rear of fender well. I was previously at approx 3 Caster with UCAs at neutral +2 position. Firestone raised caster to 3.6 on both sides while keeping UCAs at +2 position. I do have more room now, but truck seems to have a bad case of "bumpsteer" now. Every bump big or small and my truck wants to change lanes. Anyone else experienced this? I thought more caster would also improve handling.

Yeah. Mine does that too. Im gonna have them lower the caster some (currently at 2.8 and 2.9) and concentrate on getting the camber and toe dead at 0. My UCAs are set at the +1 position now.

That 'bumpsteer' behavior is a symptom of too low a caster setting.

What would give more room for tire clearance in the wheel well - 3.5 caster achieved with UCA set at neutral position or 3.0 caster with UCA at +1 position?

+1 setting for 3* added caster? I hate how they make it confusing. Looks like +3 to me

Edit: nevermind i was all turned around. Looks like +1 total, ^ your'e right

Actually .. I WAS looking at it like it was the +3*. YOU are right sir. lol.

If it is that, that might be off. Mine is set to +1... totally of +3*

Actually had them align it again Saturday and fixed my rubbing. Im at 3.1* of caster each side.. technically out of spec.. but it drives sooo much better now. Toe and camber are at zero. No more pull to the right either. Steering wheel is straight. Guess Firestone's are hit and miss. The first firestone sucked. Second was much better.
