    Flew right over the rim fire earlier. You could actually see the red from the flames peaking thru the smoke.

    You take a whiz out the window as you flew over? Hey, every little bit helps! I drove over to Sacto yesterday and was surprised to see just how much smoke was on the other side from the American fire. Nowhere near as bad as this side, but it was still fairly thick.

    We actually got to see the sun set today.
    Lately it's been disappearing in the smoke from the Rim fire by Yosemite while it was still 25* to 35* from the horizon.
    I quit smoking cigarettes 4 1/2 months ago. Now I vape & smoke pine trees.
    I can't wait until they get the fire out.

    It sounds like you quit about the same time I did. April 11th was my last smoke. I figured 29 out of the past 35 years was long enough for those damned things.
