    Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
    I would imagine if icon was building them for you with the 700# springs right off the bat their wouldn't be any change in the price for your COs.

    I've got a quote from a vendor on here for $1020 for a pair of Icon 2.5's (Ext. Travel and non-RR) with Icon 700# coils, so I don't know how that compares to what you originally bought plus the new ones.

    That sounds about right for price really. Like I said for them to install 700# springs doesn't make a squirt of piss difference as far as cost. I bet a 13" 650# spring like they normally use is $120 each as well.

    Hey, how will you install the coils, I still haven't found anyone to install mine for a good price. The guy at Production wanted $250 which I thought insane since I was going to bring in the coilovers off the trunk. Any ideas?

    Dave just remove them and take them and the springs to any automotive shop that can replace a strut. I can assist you in finding the right spot if you need.

    Just walk in and tell them you need the spring swapped. They will compress the spring and you can then lift up on the lower perch so it will slide off the coilover shaft. They will then release the spring allowing it to slide off the coilover as well now. They will then compress the new spring on the coilover till you can slide the lower perch back on. Hint hint it is a great idea to fully back off the adjustment ring while the spring is off!

    Take this info and the stuff to a shop and explain how these work...or call me and I will go over there with ypu. Should be less than 50 bucks and that I think is way too pricey!

    The rent-a-ble compressors might be really sketchy with the 700#'s...when me and another member used a rented set on my OME 885's (590#) they were kind of struggling even with those.

    Just try calling around to some auto shops and see if they will use their wall mounted sets. I've heard of guys on here doing that and getting charged around $50-$75.

    I did my 700 on rentable compressor with no problem and I was no where near safe with them. In fact I did it totally in safe :cookiemonster:

    I have a compressor from Eastwood. It has 3 rods and u-bolts for safety. It's pretty stout and and the hooks fit the springs properly. I am just nervous (chickenshit) about using it. What could happen?
