Here's one for you, I keep a GHB in the truck to get to my BOB, the GHB is built for urban environments ( I live in a fairly large city) and have it in mind that I need to get from one side to the other. My BOB goes with me when I travel outside the extended area. Aside from the normal recovery gear in the truck, I also keep some tools to clear debris, mark hazards, provide medical care for trauma, and work my way back home. Anyone else do this?

My newest addition -- it is a 6X10 Little Guy RoughRider/SilverShadow hybrid - color matched to the truck and will have the same wheels/tires as the truck -- when the dealer gets it right!! ;-) I have had it out for one overnight and can't wait to get it out more!! There is a ton of room in it - plenty under the mattress for MRE's, etc....This seems, to me, be a very good combination for fun and more!!

    Thoughts/ideas/opinions welcome!!

My BOB includes: Several larger Coolers, full of beer, and a bottle opener, and several boxes of condoms. Ice blocks are kept in the freezer, and a large sludge hammer is kept next to the freezer. If I need to bail out, I figure I got enough beer to last be a couple weeks, the sludge hammer will be use to crush the ice to get them beers on ice, quick, and the condoms are in case my girl runs outa B.C. and cant get it refilled before hand!
Party away the end of the world WOOO!

Along the book line. Anyone read "Lights Out" or "One Second After"? If these have been mentioned I apologize for being late to the party.

Those are good books. I like all the technical chat about c.b.'s, farming and such. Mine is is marked with high liters like crazy. Good reference books. Patriots is another good one.

Those books make me hate going out of town for work without the family. I always wonder if I could make it back with my bag and glock 30. Sometimes I bring my Springfield M1A.

Anyone on here make their gen 1 taco emp proof? I figured it would be easier with a gen 1 because it has less electronics. Just a few parts you could swap out that fit in a box you could keep around.

I hear you there. I hate going away and leaving home for a few days at a time. My bag is always in the car though.

seems pretty legit.. my list is very similar. i added a lightweight sleeping bag, med kit that i put together (not one of those store bought band-aid packs), and a lifesaver water bottle for filtration...
im not a survival nut, just an eagle scout...
