Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

4.75 BS minimum

 

Remember folks, back spacing refers to the amount of wheel towards the truck (dumbed down way of thinking about it I know), so its not a minimum, its a maximum back spacing. So in other words you can go below 4.5" but you can't go greater then this.

Why did I say 4.5" you ask, well I would assume that 4.75" BS would be suitable for a 17" rim, but not a 16" rim. Thus to eliminate the confusion the magic mark for both the two common size wheels (16"-17") selected for our trucks is 4.5".

Please, if I'm wrong here correct me.

Sure don't. I have worked at the same company for the past 16 years and it has nothing to do with truck parts. I've mentioned this before in other threads, but I actually help design product that saves peoples lives. My background is R&D with an emphasis on the development side of things vs. research. I basically spend a ton of time staring at numbers.

It was a lucky guess, but did know they had bottle openers because I'm cool like that. I almost said beer cozies, but Maxtrac seems to snobby to pass out beer cozies…. Hint hint hint!

As for the BS thing, we all have access to the same information on here and we all drive Tacos, you would think we would all provide the same answers and guidance, but for some reason we don't. This confuses me, but then again a lot of things do. Stock wheels have back spacing that measures greater then 4.5". Stock wheels also don't fit with these spindles or any other spindle out there (TC, CST, Camburg and Maxtrac). This tells me that 4.5" is the maximum and not the minimum. Though I could be wrong.

That Really Helps Man Thank U. So Would I Be Ok With 4 (Instead Of 4.5) Backspace & 12Mm Offset? & what Would Be A Better Choice?

you'll have to run spacers.

Guys run stock OEM wheels with Maxtrac and other spindles. you just need a 1.25 or 1.5" spacer up font to get clearance.


to have both front and rear 'flush' you'll need spacers in the back too. It will still sit wider in the front, but it won't look as bad.

They're only 33s! I think it's because my driver side is slightly compressed, and the rear is drooping a little.
