I can advise my sis, but that's all i can do.

Just got done changing the fuel filter on my 95.5, what a pain in the butt, had to unbolt the starter just to get the sucker off of there.

 

They have to ask every time you go to the dealer... and I just say I decline the butchering of my gas pedal and sign the invoice, no big deal.

This issue is if you stack two or more floor mats on the driver's side...! I mean WHO does that? Like putting a brick under your gas pedal and wondering if it will get in the way!!
So instead of trusting people to use their brains and not stak a bunch of floor mats under the gas pedal... they cut off the bottom of the pedal!

The Lexus loaner car at a San Diego dealership is where the problem began. They did just that (have double floor mats). The crash was at the end of the 125 in Santee. Very sad... and a previous customer who had that car earlier complained about the gas pedal getting stuck... the dealer did nothing and loaned out the car again.

Of course, people with no ethics jumped on the lawsuit bandwagon claiming their Toyota product had 'uncontrollable acceleration'... and GM tried to capitalize on it as well. In the end, there was never anything wrong with our Toyotas when one floor mat is used!
