To each their own I guess. I am a geologist. I have to carry a bunch of equipment on nasty roads and prefer it not get stolen, wet, or dusty. So there you go, a functional mod, who'da thunk it.

    Fuck yeah

Some people are more worried about the looks of a truck than being able to use it for truck stuff

no i get why people do it... but is there a chance youd consider taking the baja graphic of the side of the truck and keeping the bedside one?

I have thought about it pretty hard. What I've really been strongly considering is getting a local graphics company to design a decal to extend the graphic up on to the topper. Doesn't seem to be anyone doing that. I actually kinda like the graphic, I am not really looking for a sleeper look.

EDIT: The decal might also help detract from the crappy color match job the people who painted the topper did.

if someone would extend the graphics it would look a lot better, thats what ruins it, i wasnt sure if you had anything planned for it...

Problem is, it's pricey, the quotes I've gotten have been 500-700 bucks. Mostly for the design time. Kinda hard to justify spending that kind of money right now.

I like that actually. Since I am doing a MGM and black combo. It looks awesome!

    High five!!!!

Yeah! I don't get that either. To most of us, we don't care what other people's look like. Everyone has their own taste etc. When I owned cars I cared a lot(very anal to be honest). My truck, I still care, but it's going to get scratched, dented, whatever. It's a damn truck! If no one likes it that it has scratches, the bed has scratches then that's their problem. I don't give two shizzz!!!

So soft toppers seem to be very popular with Taco guys, I am curious what the attraction is. I have never priced them, is it a pricing thing? Easy to remove? Allow for some other functionality that I am not aware of? For me a topper is all about security, and keeping all my stuff relatively clean and dry, the few soft toppers I have seen don't seem to do any of those thing especially well.

I've never owned a soft topper. Any disadvantages?

Because I could. I just wanted to see what they look like. I'm practicing anything that I can to practice my PD skills.

Go to www.dipyourcar.com Look at their forums.

Thanks for the offer even though you threw them out lol. :)

I'm even thinking of doing the "4x4" on the flaps a different color. Oh the ideas are swirling around.
