Truck is torn apart and I forgot to order the tool. No local places seem to have them. If I ordered one online I wouldn't have it till mid to late next week because of the holiday. Any help is appreciated.

Hose clamp for now until you get the crimp tool and you are able do it right.

I'm rebuilding the CVs and forgot to order the tool. All of the hose clamps I've seen are too wide and look like they will rip the boot if installed.

You should be able to source narrow band clamps that are 3/8" wide at the actual clamp and 1/4"+ to5/16" on the band at Lowes or Homers Depot.

Thanks. I went to Lowes tonight and they must have been allergic to them. I found some pretty nifty stainless steel cable ties online that I think I'm going to try.
