well, looks like i'll be welding my own muffler in. every shop near me wants at least $300 for it. so.....

Monte, Mike, Ben, any of you guys know the specs/part # for the magnaflow?

haven't been able to find much on what the correct dimensions are for pipe size (2.25, 2.5) or any benefits to pipe orientation (center/center, center/offset)

Damn dude! My guy in town charged me 50$ to weld in my muffler. I'm running a 24" body but I think you want the 18". Not sure how first gens work under there but a center/offset worked well for me with the center being towards the front and the oval laying horizontal. cant remember what ID you need either...

Darby? Darby is where we came out of Magruder last summer  No where near Cooke or Goose.

And travel times and arrival times are important to me. When I start getting tired or stressed that's when I start getting sloppy driving and banging around. And I go to these things to get pictures - I would have liked to have had another hour or two to explore the lake before sunset but that didn't happen. So now I have mediocre pictures of a place that I will probably never visit again. Would have liked to have had more to show for all the effort it took to get there.
Same goes for the meet last year - I would have loved to have had more time up Independence but because Darrin left his truck behind we couldn't camp at the top. I wasn't going to force him to drive if he wasn't comfortable so I went with the flow. But again, beautiful place that I have crappy pics of (because of the smoke mainly) and will never get to visit again.

im sure Ben has a PN# for his 18..thats what you want ya?

Mine is Center/Offset I have no idea if that makes a big difference or not either..or if its just a routing option..

Dasiy dary whatever. I don't care.

And well then to be honest..you need to step up your game..i got tons of good photos of the lake..haha

I go to drive trails with my friends and BS around the camp fire..then pics. I enjoy the moment myself..a few pics will fill me with the memories.

I think your coming to our meets and getting in over your head for tails anyways. Goose lake was not a hard trail..and it was way to much for you as we were all PAINFULLY aware of.

I see no reason why you can't go back on your own terms. now that you have driven it and Indepence pass is a cake walk and you can go back any time as well.

I respect your wish for pictures..i enjoy them too. But you knew how i wheeled from the last two trips and you should have been ready for it.

exactly!! we fixed a LBJ in a creek for gods sake..and flat tire..we got this

and no..your never allowed to weld on anyones truck..ever..haha

Daisy & Lulu Passes is what we were looking for.
Maybe you need to have higher standards when it comes to pics.
And Goose was plenty hard. Plus it didn't help that I felt we were rushing things - we had no idea where we were going or how long it was going to take to get there. I was completely exhausted by the end and still have no idea how I found the energy to set up my tent AND hike to the lake.
After this trip is it also painfully aware that my idea of a good trip and yours are completely different. I don't care for the 12 hour days or racing around everywhere. I think this meet was my last - to attend or plan. At least with this group. Anything I would do would be too tame and too well thought out for you guys.

I'm just messing with you man! You can weld better than me. At least that is a good assumption since I have never touched a welder before... haha
Don't leave me out! haha My wife likes tame and I wouldn't mind exploring MT some. School makes time a bit tight though...

All i can say lisa...is we all like to go on WHEELING trip. Not guided photo taking trips. You were the only one that made a fuss about how hard the trails were, and how our itinerary was going. Literally nobody else gave a shit. And monte got some of sickest pictures of mine and everyone else's trucks I have ever seen. So zero complaints there.

yeah, i'm going 18". luckily i have a welder and consider my welds decent (well, better than marks at least:p)
haha, uhhh..... i'll pass. i've got a welder
    yeah, 18"

i'll have to look at how i want to mount it. most likely just get a center in/ center out so i can use the back half of my existing exhaust pipe and still have it fit correctly
thanks, really all i need is the pipe diameter i think so don't put too much effort into it. :p

Our trucks are 2.25, but any good exhaust shop should be able to flare pipe ends to make a 2.5 work

But if you don't want to come next time. Thats fine.

    +1

nailed it in every way. And said it much nicer then i ever could..

I'd butthurt, but this is true

my coilovers rusting was the cherry on top of the entire summer; but at least the truck sounds good!
