But ya don't mind putting a hole in your head. ;)

Seriously, you're better of securing it in some fashion.

Yeah that sounds kinda smart. Just soak it more with pb blaster or the new penetrating wd-40 whatever and let it sit a little before you do that. Just don't floor it in 4lo popping that sucker out and kill someone behind you. Use caution

Screw WD40 or PB Blaster, from your pantry, put a little gelatin on it. That stuff will free up anything, every time.

50/50 mix of acetone and ATF is the best stuff I've used for freeing up stuck things.

packed up for camping, heading out in the morning. got the cvt on!!
thinking it is my carrier bearing causing wobbles, it has a decent amount of play compared to another tacoma's I messed around with (thanks for sale tacoma sitting in a field)

diff drops are like 30$ plus 15-18 shipping. insane for 2 bolts and some spacing.
seriously considered just buying a stack of washers today but couldnt find a 8" bolt to save my life.

anyone think this would be a bad idea

Don't use washers. Diff drops are cheap. If you going to do one, do it right. Check out Cornfed Suspensions. That's where I got mine, it was like $15 IIRC.

Edit: ok it was $20. Still it was equal quality to more expensive ones.
