    That is just plain silly. You should become a driver for hire, charge them for taking their vehicles down the trails but they don't have to experience the fun.

    Looks like I solved my compressor problem and then some. Re-taped the tire inflater hose connector and used a wrench to tighten it up. Threw the locker on, started the stopwatch and started on installing the amp I have. An hour later, realized it was 10pm and called it a night. The compressor never kicked over in that time.

    And my SWR meter is fine. Tested it on my CB and the numbers came in close to my previous tuning. So, Loudpedal, I can take another try at tuning your CB and working on troubleshooting it. PC, if you make it up this way, I can do the same. Otherwise, you should get it in to a shop and have it looked at.

    so I got the light switch to work but not the way I want it to be. both lights come one no matter the switch position. fog lights don't come on with switch and with the red light its suppose to only come one when I flip it to turn the fog lights on. any ideas. ive tried all the wires and I attempted to follow the otrattw instructions as well. oh and thanxs TOMTOM for the help

    Hmmm, well it wasn't much help if it wasn't much help. ;)

    Post a picture of the OTRATTW instructions.

    Did you figure out which colour of wire corresponds to what function?

    OK, I see a couple problems so re-writing with some corrections and suggestions:

    Green = 12VDC tied to ignition or always on -> #2
    Blue = 12VDC tied to headlights -> #6

    Touch Green to Green/White. If fog lights come on:

    Green/White = Fog Lights Relay -> #3

    If that doesn't work, touch Green to White/Black. If fog lights come on:

    White/Black = Fog Lights Relay -> #3

    Whatever is left, Green/White or White/Black = ground -> #7 & #8

    Whatever you need when turning on foglights, make sure it is on (i.e. just ignition or ignition + headlights need to be on, turn them on when testing for fog light contact).

    I know green has power when I just turn the dtrl lights on
    blue gets power when headlights are on
    ill take another swing at it. and let you know. I did the wiring with out the truck having the engine running just twisted the lights on the truck off and on

    Common manufacturing practice. Fewer part numbers is cheaper so you have the same exact wiring as one with an e-locker.

    If green and blue have power without the engine running, you probably don't need to turn the engine fully on. Could you turn on the fogs without the engine running before you removed the switch?

    Since white/black and green/white don't have any voltage on them, just need to determine which one is tied to the fogs and which one is ground. Best way is to touch a hot lead to either one and see if the fogs come on.

    I'm guessing it is Green/White since you got 12VDC on the solid Green one tied to the DTRLs. Try that one first.

    ya I could turn them on with out engine running.
    so does that mean I have the ability to add e-locker or is it pointless with 2wd?

    So it sounds like they are only tied to the DTRLs or headlights so you shouldn't need to have the engine running to get this sorted out.

    You have the electrical wiring to, yes. You'll probably need an entire axle assembly from an e-locker equipped TRD 2nd Gen. I'm not sure if you can just drop in an e-locker 3rd into an open diff housing on the 2nd Gens. More research would be needed. I know you can't do that on the 1st Gens.

    Pointless with the 2WD? Not sure what you want. It does add capability but not going to be able to rock crawl too well with it. Kyle (KCDuran) installed an ARB air locker in his 2WD 5-lugger. He can go out to the Puerco with us and, with a little care and feeding, ride with us and make it back home. He can't do everything we do but usually there is a path around each obstacle.

    I think I may have over-fixed my compressor. I was out tonight working on the amp layout. I powered up the compressor and flipped the locker switch. 1 hour 20 minutes later after I wrapped up my layout work, I powered everything down. Compressor had cycled. So, either something is broke or that system is really frickin' air tight.

    Going to have to test it sometime soon to make sure it still locks up fine.

    ran the wires again. well the blue when touching green/white and black/white activate fog lights
    ok so here we go. green #2 blue #6 white/black # 8 or #7 and green/white #7 or #8 - light switch works as should but fog lights don't come on

    blue #2, green #6, green/white #3, white/black #7 blue light comes on but when switch is flipped no red light but fogs come on

    green#2, blue#6, white/green#3, white black #7 blue light comes on when switch is flipped fuse pops and no red light or fogs comes on
