Folks, anybody use a G-Force performance chip? Fellow I know put one on his truck and he swears by it, gets 25+ mpg with a 4d prerunner auto. Just curious if any body else has had any luck.

Magical performance chips are not real. They don't work.

Tacoma's are maxed out pretty much to when it comes to power etc. You're going to find out being on this board that they don't work. But there is other threads already posted using the "search" function. :)

Someone must have been eating the "magical" brownies or cookies again when they told you that.

    Every week.

    Along with:

How can I get V8 power and 3-cylinder economy out of my 4.0 4x4 with 35" tires running stock gears?
What size tires will fit my stock rims?
How can I lift my 5-lug?
How can my Prerunner be a TRD when it's a 2wd?
    What oil should I use?
    What filter should I use?
Can I change my own oil without voiding my warranty?

I put a GEET reactor in my truck to improve MPG. I run it on liquefied chicken feathers.

A 4dr pre-runner I4 is rated 24 mpg highway, I have no doubt driving 55 will exceed 25 mpg as your fellow claims.

Nothing wrong with MPG threads. ;)

The 4runner could get 25+ easily if your friend is driving at 55 and being light on the throttle!! The chip does nothing for gas engines, the only engines that can really be tuned by a chip is a diesel

There are plenty of factory turbo engines that can be tuned or chipped as you call it, not just diesels. Although for the Tacoma there isn't anything yet.

Hey guys, thanks for all the wonderful responses, the search function does work however an MPG thread may do better, oh, and thanks again for all the great responses, I am really glad to know the majority of the folks on this board can read.
p.s. I did use the search function and if was full of crap too just like the chips....
