FJ beadlock, bronze. Different backspace? Can it fit a larger or wider tire?

These FJ wheels stick out 3/4" approx over stock tacoma. Will I be able to fit a larger or wider tire because of this? Anyone?

 

It would probably help with UCA clearance on 285's, but I dont have rear world experience with running them so I cant give an exact answer as to exactly what/if they can fit without rubbing. Typically its the backspace on the wheels that cause the factory tacoma 16's/17s to not fit 285s without rubbing, so if the FJ wheels have less backspace it should definitely help.
But consider the future, if you want to start running anything wider than a 285 the wheels will likely again become too narrow and too much backspace.

 

It's a little too late because I have already bought these. Lol. I'm trying to decide what tire size to buy with these wheels using a small lift of 1"-3/4" leveling up to a 3" lift. If these wheels allow for 285's with a leveling kit then that's what I will buy. Does anyone have a tacoma with these wheels that are running 285's? Or if you do have these wheels, what size tire are you running and with what lift?

 

I have these on 285/75/16 with a roughly 3.25" lift in the front. Fits awesome no rubbing - but rubbing is a YMMV deal.

 

Thats the size tire I wanted to get. Can you post a picture and did you have to trim anything? What kind of lift do you have? Sorry for all the questions but I just want to get this right when I order my lift and tires.
