OME complete kit w/ 885s on Nitrocharger Sports, 1/4" spacers, Dakars w/ Nitrocharger Sports, LR UCAs, 265/70-17, Duratracs, G4 Elite tonneau, Weathertech Window Deflectors, Weathertech digital floor liners, factory JBL/Entune, rear differential breather relocate.
I added 1/4" top plate spacers. Got some from Wheeler's Off Road for less than 10 bucks, adds another 1/2" of lift....got my 4x4 close to 3" of lift....should put a pre-runner right at 3" I would think....if not a little more.

I have a 2012 regular cab 4wd and I'm struggling to figure out what my lift should consist of. I would like to lift the front around 2" and I'll have a bumper and winch. As for the rear I'd like to get either 1.5" or 2" while getting rid of my current axle wrap dilemma. What setup would meet my needs if there is one from ome?

If your adding the bumper and winch I'd go 2886 or used 886's and a AAL, stay away from rear blocks.

I'd like to stay away from the dentist. I've always heard that I'd need 883s or 884s since its a 4cyl but I've never got an answer on how much they would lift it. I was thinking of going with a leaf pack but I don't know which ones to get.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
If he adds full skids and sliders he could get away with 886, no top plate. But if he goes 885 and it sags more than he likes than he could use the spacer after the fact. 885 could be the safer bet.

If you're not going to haul a lot pick up the All Pro, if weight is a concern (towing or hauling) get the Dakars.

Short answer : 886's are way too much for reg cabs

Any verdict on 885's if they will be heavily armored?

I think they would be the correct choice

Finally got a chance to wheel the hell outta my truck last weekend. Even with the TP spacer and 886's I had plenty of flex, with the ride slightly on the stiffer I think it'll be perfect when I can install a winch. I think the sway delete was very necessary on the trail.

Your best option would be to do a 3.5” - 4" lift and go with lift spindles. I know you only want a 2.5 - 3" lift, but going the additional 0.5” - 1" will set you up better and provide you with a lot better ride without taking from the down travel; angles of upper and lower control arms will remain as is if you retain your factory coils.

For about an inch more down travel over stock, you could go with a mid travel set-up which consists of extended travel Coilovers and aftermarket UCAs. Though pricy, this will certainly improve the performance of your suspension.

I honestly don't know why anyone with a 2wd truck would go with a coil lift (this is what the OME kit is), the quality of ride is almost always compromised and being that a 2wd truck weighs quite a bit less when compared to a 4x4 the negative impact on ride is accentuated even further.

if you off road alot, go with a long travel kit, If mine was 4wd i would be. i know its 2k+ but the full OME kit is 1200.

FYI, an LT kit is not 2K, its about 7K minimum. Most don't use it and it is way over kill. A well tuned midtravel kit is a great option and can in a lot cases handle the terrain just as good as going a bottom dollar LT set-up.

Unless your are prepared to drop some serious $$$$$, stay away from the LT kits.

Maybe just the front without the COs, but then you have to worry about the back. The back is just as much $$$ as you will need comparable rear shocks and you'll likely go under the axle which means new leafs. Then you have to worry about bumps and fender clearance. Its an endless list that most are not aware until they finally go that route.

    2k my ass :D
