Heading to the Red Woods tomorrow. Any advice as to where to go? Ill be camping all weekend till Tuesday.

Also in the market for a set of icon shocks. Extended travel with remote resi up front and the 2.0 rears with resi. Where is the cheapest place to buy some?

Erick (relentless) has 20% off all his shit till Tuesday on his web site. Meow is the time to buy.

    Oh and what's up fools

So...bowhunting is incredible. Even with a miss its the craziest experience. I think I'll be hard pressed to go back to centerfire for elk.

    Brian,

When you come to town when do you plan on going out to TSF? I should have my Camburgs re-installed by that time. I have a buddy in a stock 90s 4runner that wants to come out also. He's never been so he asked me if the next time I go to let him know. Plus! Zachs been bothering me about going out as well :)

I am still running factory tires on my truck, which are the dunlop AT20. they are decent tires for highway driving, but i chewed them up pretty well at Liberty a few weeks ago. in looking at new tires, i have gotten down to 3 different tires i am considering. i also plan to upsize a little from factory 245/75/16 to 265/75/16 but still on the original rims. can't afford to buy everything new right now.

anyway, what are your thoughts on these tires?

    Cooper Discoverer ATP

My primary use for the truck will be weekend driver at this point, most of that being on normal roads. Wifey works from home and I have a company issue work van. I also have 2 trailers I pull occasionally, one a horse trailer, the other a 4x8 utility trailer. I want to have something that will do good for me offroad, but still not be too loud or hard to spin on the road since I am powered by the 4 cylinder motor.

I'd go for the BFGs or the DuraTracs. I have 31" BFG A/Ts right now and they're great. Perform well (for not being a very aggressive tread) offroad, yet have the smoothness for the pavement DD miles I put on my Taco.

I'll be getting more BFGs here in a few weeks, just in 285s and not my current 265s

    Ok guys...

Even tho AP is having a 10% off, not wanting to bite the bullet yet on the AP LT kit. But....will get it soon. Ive got everything figured their, as for the rear tho...

I'm trying to figure shock length (to not bottom out, over extend), with either the Dakars HD or the AP Expos. Going to get the AP Ubolt flip kit, also trying to narrow down a shackle kit for it as well. Thoughts on shock lengths? and also shackle kit? Perhaps the shackle kit ill wait on. Without my tent on im hoping to keep it fairly level. Without having to crank the coilovers up front to much.

Would their also be a way to re-use factory bump stops, or would i have to bite the bullet on the $$$ timbren bumps for the rear?

I assume anton will chime in... :p

I haven't tried any of them myself but I do have Cooper Discover AT3s. Got them through Discount Tire as well. They've been on the truck for about 20K miles. I'd say they probably have 15K miles left to go. They handle well off road dry and wet, but I've seen better tires in the snow. They air down well but probably got as many chunks taken out of them at Liberty as your stockers. So in a nutshell, seems like a softer compound, have been very dependable off-road and will be retired to on-road only once I can get a 2nd set of wheels/tires.

I run 285/75/16 Cooper st's and have been satisfied with them. Do me wheel off-road, snow mud. Have almost 50k on em now. But, they wont get me through this winter :(

I'm an Arizona member but I'll chime in on the cooper ATP, I have them in 265/75/16. They've got 40k on them and I would say another 10-15k left in them. I do a lot of highway driving, but they've held up great offroad. The offroading here is all dry and rocks generally but for a basic AT tire they've done great

Get relentless flip kit and wheelers super bumps. Save some coin. Just tack weld the bumps on. I have the wheelers super bumps in the rear but no flip.
