Here my onboard air system project.

    I purchased a MasterFlow 50 compressor from CostCo $49.
Mounted it under the side compartment of the bed:

Picked up a 9 gal air off Ebay, made custom brackets to bolt it up to my tow hitch. (I didn't want to drill anything)

Wired it up and Mounted the fitting to the bumper and called it a day.

Yeah I did all these mods a while ago. It was posted on another forum. I just figured people here might be interested.

I sort of ran out of ideas for my truck? Haven't done any new mods lately.:(

Yeah, I just didn't notice he was transferring his mods from TN to TW, but now I see... it was a brief moment of Deja Vu...

yeah! Running over those soccer moms to fight for a parking is brutal!:D

But as you can see the hitch is the lowest point of the rear, so that would drag before the tank hits.

how long to fill your tire from 10psi? This compressor seems very slow, as soon as your tank is empty it must take forever to fill up.

and this rear bracket would not hold for 10 minutes off roading!

Do you have a check valve between the compressor and tank.

I have had problems finding a check valve that works well with this compressor.

I'm not sure? Still never had to use it. But I'm sure since I mostly go fishing with my truck, and not looking for "BgiFoot" the brackets will last a very long time.
I picked up the check valve from "Grainger" it's mounted next to the tank. Seems to work good so far?

Interesting, I picked up this check valve from Grainger but I have been having problems with it. It holds pressure, but when I turn on the compressor the ball inside gets stuck in the open poisition allowing the air to excape through the compressor.

It seams to me that this check valve is not rated correctly for the CFM that this compressor puts out. The ball is pressed too hard and gets stuck. I have been looking for a higher quality check valve that is the same size.

Wow! That the same valve I used. I haven't had any issue yet. I'll keep an eye on it.

Nice job. OBA is one of the best mods I've done. it's useful a lot more ways then just for tires.

Nice! are there any more OBA set-ups around the forum? I searched, but came up with nothing.
