I was wondering if anyone knows if there is truly a better/as good as factory Toyota bearing?

My stock one lasted about 5 years/100,000 miles and I had it replaced at a drive shaft shop. The replacement one (not sure the brand) only lasted about 15 months/ 11,000 months. I looked on rock auto and they offer two different brands at a large price difference.
Has anyone had any experience with either one?

    DORMAN Part # 934401** $41.79

    SKF Part # HB238040** $113.79

I'd go skf reason being they make a lot of bearing assemblies, engine pullys, wheel bearings for our trucks and for larger industrial vehicles. Price is double but you get what you pay for.
    Or what he said ^^^

The drive shaft shop in Abq. said they could do a one piece for $450... Maybe next time, when I have more free cash.

I think I'll go with the skf and just replace it my self, unless anyone else has any in put to what I should order.

I ordered the Dorman and 3 u-joints from RockAuto a while back, but it may be late September before I get around to changing out those parts. Just looking at the Dorman carrier bearing, I don't see any quality difference from a stock one.

I flipped the stock carrier bearing last fall since the gasket had sagged considerably in the mount. Smoother ride with the flip, but it still needs to be changed out.

I don't see how the SKF could be 3 times better quality.

Do your u-joints needing replacing? If so, now is the time to do it if you plan on swapping the carrier bearing. You have to take the driveshaft apart to put the new one on anyway.
