Might be a stupid question but here you go.
Can I run the Camberg UCA's with the Maxtrac spindles?
    I think it's a yes but wasn't sure
    Thanks

    Hey Chris
Even though Camburg makes some great stuff and mean GREAT stuff.... We have noticed that Camburg has made their upper control arms SHORTER than stock on some application's. Please check with them to make sure that the arm's are stock length. This will insure that the alignment will be correct.
I think they do that to insure that you can't mix n match other manufacturers products... I could be wrong on this so if there is anyone out there with Camburg arms with our spindles let us know...
We had this issue with our Chevy spindles and Camburg arms that's why I brought this up... Just want you guy's Happy Happy Happy...

The larger the wheel the more easy it is to clear. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but the spindles taper off as you near the top of the spindle. With a larger wheel the spacing between the spindle and the wheel should increase. This is why with a 17" rim you can run 4.75" BS. If you were to run say a 20" wheel, you could possible run a slighty greater BS (i.e 5.0 BS).

This whole wheel BS thing is not as complex as most think. Take your own measurements before buying the wheels to ensure fitment and just be mindful of the tire width/bulge when mounted and aired up. For measuring, just throw the wheels face down and measure away, theres a thread on here which explains the measurements and provides a diagram. If I come across it I’ll add the link.

Perhaps 295s vs the common 285s. The 295s are about a 33.4" tire thus still rounded to 33". The 285s are what, 32.8" ?

They look like 315s though from the pics

    ^yea I was just thinking that. A 295 is truly a 33" vs 285 which is ALMOST a 33"

Lol! Yeah, they're 285/70/17 which is ~32.8". However the outer diameter measures 33.3" (per Treadwright website). ImageUploadedByTapatalk1378236814.734265.jpg
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1378237210.419598.jpg

I trimmed some plastic, and the only rubbing I get is on the cab mounts when the suspension compresses while turning (still need to do a cab mount chop). I'm wondering if they just look big because the dust on the tires make them pop out more in the previous pictures?

Maybe it was dust... Made the tires look bigger.. So are you running MT spindles with stock struts and coils? What are you running in the rear? Truck looks sic by the way..

okay. so I think the decision has been reversed from 885's on my 13' DC to Maxtrac, anyone ever do any trail riding/medium offroading with their spindles.. and is there any problems? I use to think spindles were an alternate to spacers but I guess I was wrong. and will it look retarded with my highway tires and rims from toyota :(

    Adam,

I never had any issues off road with my spindles whatsoever. I am sure everyone in here will tell you the same. If you want the nicest, factory-like ride then spindles are the way to go. I ran my factory rims and tires with my spindles for the longest time and didn't think it looked bad at all. Actually was told it looked great by a bunch of different people. Of course, you will get the people that want to stuff as large a tire in their fenderwell as possible and tell you to go with at least 285/75-16s with spindles. While it is true that you can, there is nothing wrong with running factory rims and tires with them. Just gonna need wheel spacers on the front to run your factory rims.

good deal, just trying to look up measurements for spacers for the front to clear the rim and also for the rear to match the front as close as I can
