3'' Spacer lift wheel size question

I have a spacer lift in the front and was wondering if 295/70/17 tires would rub? I am looking to go to a 6'' fabtech lift and want to get the rims and tires first so that the cost of it all doesn't hit the wallet all at once. Would these tires just be too large to run with a spacer lift?

295s are a little tall for 3. It can be done with some cutting and trimming. And in my opinion 295 is too small for a 6 inch lift

 

Thanks for the response. What would I have to trim? I know I would be removing my mud flaps but is there anything else major that would be needed to be trimmed?

BTW I am "just" down the road from you in Niceville.

 

Would have to do cab mount chop, probably trim the insides of the fenders. Don't know personally maybe somebody with a second with chime in haha And Nice to see somebody else local on here!

I have a 3" spacer kit installed , and 285 rub every once in a while, I have cut lots of fender material and I still hear them so I,m going to say you will have to relly cut up some fender.

The rims are ok. If you don't get new rims you will need wheel spacers for that tire size.

 

Ok thanks for the info. I was planning on switching rims because the ones the previous owner left it with, which I believe are stock, the paint is coming off and are just to plain for me.

 

Def wouldn't run that tire on your 3" spacer lift. You will be fine though when you get your 6" lift on. On your wheels just make sure you get the 4.5 bs ( -12 offset)

So i can see you dont like the rim selection. Do you have a recommendation of a better looking rim. I have an 07 access cab silver in color base model so it has the black fender flares

 

No No, the wheels are fine. Worked in a tire shop growing up and it drives me crazy to hear people call wheels "rims". Might just be a southern thing. Carry on, don't mind me.

 

I have moto metal rims but I wouldn't buy another set. Chrome pits and their black rims scratch very easily.

Wheels are rims + tire. Rims are just the rims.
