    How many dealers have you gone to? Speak to at least three. Yes, if they have to special-order a truck, they are typically not willing to move much on price versus a truck that's sitting on their lot and costing them interest every month.

    KBB would list a wholesale and a retail price for your truck. Trading in, you'll never get above wholesale. Selling private party allows you to get closer to retail price.

    Get the dent fixed before selling.
