Crazyengineer, you got me thinking about my neglected shotgun so I ended up buying this today in Mossy Oak to match my 535's camo pattern:

That what I thought, though some part of me really wants to build one of these things. Apparently they don't kick too bad because of how much they weigh.

    Is that a claw sling?

If it is, they are the best slings I have ever used when I'm not crossing the sling over my body, it won't go anywhere unless you want it to.

I personally think those slings suck balls. Constantly sliding off my shoulder and having to readjust it. I have mine to my son and he doesn't like it either. I think I have a butler creek? It's old and starting to fall apart, but works well for me. Only time my rifle is hanging on me is when I'm walking with a group. About other time it's in my hands

Yep, it's one of the Claw slings. I was reading similar reviews and finally ended up pulling the trigger.

Jeez, that's one of the only bad reviews I've heard about it. Oh well, like you said, it'll be in my hands most of the time anyways and over my shoulder just so I can free up my hands temporarily.

Don't know if you guys are golfers or not....if you have an old golf bag lying around or can get you hands on one from a friend or for a few dollars at a yard sale, the straps on a golf bag are wider and have more padding that most rifle slings. I have two rifles that I use one on and they never slip and are the most comfortable slings I've ever used. Cheap too!

Brilliant! Too late for the shotgun but will keep that in mind in case this sling doesn't work out.

Just bought a RRA nm trigger, TA31 ECOS-G, and DD M4A1 RIS II for a SOPMOD Block II project.
Will have to work on the trigger a little because I hate the way it breaks. Still better than a garbage stock trigger.

I took the factory S&W trigger and with just a little honing to polish it, and adding a JP spring kit mine now breaks very clean and crisp right at 4.5lb's. Single stage instead of two stage like the NM triggers.

Never been a fan of single stage triggers, but i use JP springs whenever I can. Geiselle says to never use aftermarket springs on their triggers, so all I will say is that they don't not work.
This is the first RRA trigger i've used, so it just feels different. Second stage feels squishy up until the break, which i'm not used to.
