Worst case scenario the dealer wants $400 to break down the tires, get serial numbers, inflate tires, and re-sync all tpms sensors.
I won't be paying for Discount Tire's failure.

 

Eff all that noise. If you can't monitor tire pressure yourself, you shouldn't be allowed a drivers license.

 

Wow. TPMS has some kind of RF transmitter. There's no real reason to take the tires off to read serial numbers (at least in theory you shouldn't need to do that). Should be no different that reading the chip code off your dog.

This is probably what they use (or something like it).

 

At least make discount break the tires down and get the serial numbers.

A quick search and I found the FSM for the tpms on here. It says you have to have the serial numbers of of each to program the tpms ecu. which can only hold five serial numbers at a time. SO it first has to be cleared of the old and then reprogrammed.

But what do I know, I am a first gen guy.... I have to use an old fashion tire gauge. That said, my wife's car has them and we found a slow leak in one of the tires because of the tpms, tire wasn't noticeable low, but the low tire light kept coming on. Every time I would check and one was down below 28 psi, so a quick fill up and then a trip to discount to fix the leak.

They broke it they will fix it.

I'll more than likely talk to the manager and have them break them down to get the serials, they say that the batteries are probably dead that's why the tool can't pick them up. The dealership said sometimes they have trouble reading them and have to break them down too.

 

Tickets get loaded on our school id if we bought them.

 

Ah, we can sell and trade our tickets that's why they're on paper

How?

 

Email the ticket code to the new owner and they print a barcode that has the ticket info. Cuts down on a lot of paper for the majority that don't sell tickets.

 

Makes sense, I'm surprised we haven't switched yet considering we still have to swipe our student ID to get in

 

Yeah that's strange then. We can sell student tickets to non-students also. Last year there were old people in the student section and they always got mad because they wanted to sit but all the students stand.

 

My freshman year some old (50-60) Florida fans somehow managed to get in the student section. It didn't go over too well
