    I'm thinking of going from my xD wheels back to my stock prerunner wheels just looking for some input im going for more of a conservative look

    That depends upon how you want your truck to look. Why not switch them out for a while and see how that feels? If not you can always switch back! :)

    I was mainly asking because the xds are 17's and the stocks are 16's its cheaper for my to buy tires for stock than the xds due to rim size...just trying to figure it out dont wanna make a 800$ mistake

    I have 17 XD and I'm happy with them. I don't take it wheeling but when I eventually do I have the original steelies that I would put on because I don't want to mess up my pretty wheels. :)

    If you are not wheeling, why not just keep the XD's on? If you are wheeling, I'd go for the less fancier wheels.
