Don't know what you're talking about. '14 Tacoma will be exactly the same as the 12/13. Only change is this new color keyed look SR package.

How soon will these hit dealers? Sounds like my dealer is going to honor the price we negotiated on a 2013 before they sold them off. I'm debating leaving my current truck listed for sale or pulling it until they start rolling in.

You saw some fake mocked up concept photos/photoshops. If it was going to look like the Tundra, Toyota would have released photos by now, just like the 14' 4Runner.

So they pretty much just undid what they did for 2012 and added engine to all the trims. The only new is the SR package pretty much.

that is what they told me for 2013 when i bought mine. And now look, 2013 baja.. bastards

i wouldn't count on or disprove anything until it does, or does not show up on the lots.

yea the first time i saw it it was "2013 tacoma v8"

    lmfao

and you have to wonder when on the same page it shows a very 4runner looking regular cab "tacoma" and a very hilux looking "tacoma"

speaking of hilux i saw this the other day in a movie
(invasion roswell) and this is in "colorado" so im only to assume they have been here all along ;) if thats the case someone please point me at a D4D turbo diesel hilux

Of course, New Mexico is somewhat close to old Mexico, where the Hilux is sold... only with the 2TR-FE gas 4-cyl. :D

2TR-FE is a good heavy duty engine, but its not a 1GR and doesnt do much better on fuel (in a 2nd gen taco) i bet in my 79 it would do great! it works too hard in a 4x4 getting chubby taco

D4D!!! if they didnt want 20k pluss to swap my 2013 i would be in there begging for one. i can dream anyway. I am still very happy with my 1GR, and i have a 2TR sitting in my shed that has been begging me to put it in a 79 toyota for 2 years. But i dont ever have time or money toooo many projects.

im just guessing they made the movie out of country, i just thought it was funny that for that part of the movie they showed the truck in "colorful colorado" for a few scenes and somehow missed out the fact its not USDA choice meat.. now it is a syfy movie and that was deffinately not the only continuity error just a funny one.

I just like the heavy duty feel/utilitarian use of the everywhere else in the world toyota's.

if i could have the look of the tacoma, and the heft of a hilux. perfect.

or a 2005 landcruiser pickup diesel. that would be nice too. They even kept the straight axels for a whole decade longer than us (if you count the 80 series here even though it is a suv)

that is the plan :) but from what i understand the latest generation of hilux (when they seperated from tacoma/pickup) carried on the heavier frame style where as tacoma lost some being only partialy boxed now. but mainly they have the D4D diesel or the older 1kz would be just dandy for me as well. Besides its not like i have had any issues with the frame i have :)

i could be wrong about the frame, thats just the info i have read. the front suspension is from what i understand better on the tacoma however. but i have driven the diesels overseas and its so nice :)

but the newest generation hilux is not as pretty as the tacoma.

Haven't Tacoma frames been partially boxed since 1st gens? I know 01-04's have the C-Channel style rear portion under the bed, or was it with the 2nd gens where they started doing that double layer thing for the portion that goes under the bed?
