My mom told me about 8 tracks. I'm happy I wasn't around for those, just for cassette tapes. Now I want to play first generation Nintendo.

No CD and I hate Sat radio.

1st gen Nintendo is something everyone should play..

I listen to radio only if it's a baseball or football game. I don't have much luck finding 30 year old artists like the Dead Boys on the dial so no tuner for me.

I wish that we had Pandora here in Canada. Plus paying $180.00(CDN) a year for sat radio is just dumb. For me to pay that I would have to spend a lot of time in my truck to listen to it. Or lose my Iphone and have to try not to kill myself listening to local radio.

My roommate still has his Super Nintendo. We sometimes play the original Mario Cart. I am not sure how this Generation would react to Mario One because it's nothing compared to the games of today. But if it wasn't for those games, we wouldn't have the games of today.

I have a few cd's in a visor holder, for the rare times I forgot my ipod and my phone doesn't have enough signal to stream. It's a last resort really.

I remember when I was 4 I watched my dad install an aftermarket Panasonic 8-Track stereo in my mom's '78 Chevy Nomad van. Then a couple of years later we got an Atari and I thought the cartridges were 8-track tapes since the angle of insertion was the same as the Panasonic in my mom's van.

I still make tapes and CDs for my GF's '04 IS300 since the stock stereo has a cassette player and 6-disc non-MP3 CD changer.

Some recent compilations I made for her:

You wanna learn how to use a computer, rather than point and click? Go and use Dos-Prompt.

When I was young. I remember using tapes, taping the top of the holes off(on the ends) and recording songs off the radio. Ha! We were pirating long before these kids of today. I even remember the Kodiak Cd-R's that had a none scratch coating on the bottom, durable as shit.

I did, until I tried the AUX mod and ripped out part of the circuit board by accident. Going with a Pioneer 3500BH (just arrived) and yeah, I'll play a cd in it until I can put together a play list.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I have over 1500 albums on CD, and I'm still buying them. I don't own an i-anything or an mp3 player, and only use the AUX-in to reference masters/mixes of the music I'm working on.

Call me old-school or archaic, but I am a modern-day record junkie. :D

I don't remember the last time I played a CD in anything. Been quite a while. Between Sirius/XM, Pandora/Entune, bluetooth....no need for a bunch of CDs taking up space.

I had an in-dash 8 track in my 69 Camaro (my first car). I think it was a Craig and I had Jensen 6x9's in the rear deck. Yes, I'm old...

As to the topic: I never used the CD in my 2000 truck, not used it in my 2004 Porsche, not used it in the Taco yet. I listen to talk radio (sports & Politics) or XM music.

ETA: Come to think of it, I didn't use the CD in either of my Corvettes, either the 93 or the 98. The 98 had a 6 cd changer in it (so does the Porsche). My Wife uses hers ALL the time though so she makes up for me.

I put my Sirius in my work truck and yes I do listen to my cd player steady. actually just bought a cheap mp3 player to go to the gym with, and just upgraded to a smartphone a few months ago. I hate keeping up with technology!
