    I've heard decent things about the Duratrax trucks. Great entry-level options.

    You can modify just about anything you want on all of these things, too.

    Yeah dude - I love HPI trucks. I haven't read anything on that one, but just remember anything 2WD will be a little challenging to drive in grass or on wet pavement. Not a huge deal, but may get frustrating for Kyle if he can't romp on it.

    Hey all,
    Do we have anybody in central Florida that is running a shell on their 2nd generation Tacoma, preferably a DCSB? I'm about to pull the trigger on ordering one, but I really need to see how much it changes visibility before I fork over that kind of crazy money. If any of you (or if you know anybody) have a shell and wouldn't mind going for a ride, I'd be very appreciative. I'm in Merritt Island, but I'd drive to you.

    i had a shell on mine when i first bought it, i'm not completely positive, but i vaguely remember barely being able to see out of the back. i remember it affecting my visibility, that i only used the side mirrors, and normally, i'm always looking in the rearview

    It also looks like it has '70s era bed rails spliced onto the '84 bed if the tailgate latches are any indication. My '83 had bed rails like that but the latch was still in the center of the tailgate.

    It was a shop truck from a pal's body shop. The bed was replaced , killer new paint job & leather interior. is how I got it.. Very nice truck back in the day.

    Yep,, but only on the high bumps ,, That thing hooked me on Toyota,s ,,tilt, cruse, power l&W, power steering & A/C:cool: ...First thing we owned with AIR.:).
