I plan on saving up as much as I can for now so no out-of-state wheeling trips for me for a while. I am thinking I want to take the same trip to Moab that Brian is wanting to in a couple of years. I figure with fuel costs and gear to purchase, along with armour and such, I have a lot of work to do to Lil Beast before she is ready. I figure also I should play it safe and take about $3k with me on the trip for "just in case" situations.

you started saving up yet Brian?

Actually you can put them on yourself, IF you watch what you are doing. I swapped out a set of them here at the shop on a customer's truck in about 30 minutes. I would suggest though that while you can do the WORK by yourself, never work on any large components, or under a vehicle alone. Always have someone who is nearby and can hear for calls of help if necessary. Heck, if you feel like a road trip drive on up here. My rates are pretty reasonable, and if you bring one of those beautiful gulf-shore area beach bunnies with you I can be bribed. Hahaha.

bit different "doing it by yourself" as you put it bill when you have a lift and all the shop tools, IMO that isnt exactly doing it by yourself. I was talking about a pair of jackstands two floor jacks and my own two hands as well as a piece of cardboard for a creeper. that is the type of by yourself i meant.

It's all good. Didn't want to go with you anyway! :p

No worries man. I wasn't thinking it was an open invitation. Sounded like a personal trip. I was just being my usual smart-assed self and also just generalizing! Hahaha.:D Your trip a wheeling trip? If so be careful and have fun man!

You do have a point there. I do tend to forget a lot of people don't have access to the equipment I have had in my garage or shop here. You are correct in that with jack stands and a driveway, they are quite difficult to do on your own. I hope I didn't come off like a dick. Sorry man!
