    Placing a small fluted glass on it while being illuminated by a LED light. I have the glass on an old plastic container now but I feel glass will transmit the light up into fluted glass better.

    in sheets of glass, you can get 3/4" thick pieces. they have 4x3 and 2x3 but no 2x4.

    can you draw a simple picture of what you need and post it?

    We do up to 2" thick glass here, but I have never seen anyone need 1" glass for anything residential before. We only use the thick stuff for when structural strength is needed.

    If I were you I would just layer some 1/2" plexi from the sounds of it.

    THX Adam. 3 weeks for delivery and the cost is not too bad for a 2"X3" piece. Did not determine shipping yet. Bet it cost close to $20 to ship. ;)

    I looked for plexi as well with no luck. The link Adam posted might work.

    I wouldn't count on the edges looking nice. The thicker glass doesn't cut nicely a lot of the time. It says they are ground, but that doesn't always mean presentable.

Safety is not a joke and these idiots think selling fire rated is a easy task. note how they just state fire rated....and not how long or for what application. yea that's illegal.

    Correct a fluted drinking glass. I will need to post a pic of what I am doing. The glass will be in a corner nook on top of a corner cabinet. The thicker glass will elevate the drinking glass so you can see the gold colored base.

    Can't multi quote on my phone.

    Can't you just build up the pocket so 1/4" glass would be the same height? Low iron glass is your best bet for light transfer of LEDs and the thinner the better.
