sticker and badge removal

Exactly what I was thinking! Even with 20-30 lb test I wouldn't imagine it would break....

 

Idk about anyone else but I don't have glue b gone laying around but I did use rubbing alcohol and it worked fine for the residue.

 

Now that the Baja is on the way I have a question on sticker removal. Dealer will take them off bit I am going to leave them for a while. I at least want to see what the truck looks like with the stickers. Are they harder to get off the longer they are on? I do not want to leave them on too long because of paint fade.

 

my goo gone hasnt worked to get them off any other advise next to wd40 because that hasnt worked as well

trying to remove the residue from the glue

 

suggestions would be nice on what to do to fix it....

 

Hard for my old eyes and shitty screen to see, but I'm guessing those are scratches; or is it residue? Did you use a scotchbrite or something abrasive with the goo gone?

As for the fishing line breaking, monofilament is sensitive to nicks, but I'm guessing the heat is what's killing it as getting it too hot will start melting the line. Thin braided line would probably work best.

 

What did you use to scrub with exactly?

 

Is there damage to the paint, or is that a smudge of goo that won't come off?
The best thing to use after removing the bulk of the adhesive backing, is a 3M Eraser Wheel, completely safe for your paint, and takes off adhesives, pin stripping, you name it, with very little to no effort.

im not really sure i am going to give it a really good wash tomorrow and try the things you guys suggest and polish and wax it ill get the 3m wheel as you suggest as well as this

my landlord is going to let me use his orbital polisher to give it a good detail so hopefully something works other wise off to Macco maybe turn it into a white truck.

 

so you could see the tacoma outline on the truck after i removed all of my bagging and it didnt look good so i looked around the site and guys were saying that if you cant get it all of use goo gone so i grabbed a bottle and a rag and started rubbing it on when i finished and let it dry it looked all streaky and it was softer than the rest of the paint. i am afraid that i removed some of the clear coat.

 

If only I could afford to repaint every vehicle I owned with a scuff I'd have an uber impressive fleet.
