For All You Fishing Fanatics - Fishing Rack inside Shell

Here's my Friday night project. Poles probably fit better with a 6 ft bed. I only have 5ft bed.

I bought the Brekley Rack for 15 bucks off ebay and bascially bolted it to metal straps then wrapped it with pipe padding all from the hardware store for like 10 or 15 bucks. From there bolted it to my roof rack inside my shell.

 

Short bed problems... To bad they don't make a 10' bed.

 

I've been thinking of making something for my 6' bed that attaches to the factory rails.

 

What did you use to bolt it to the top of the shell? I thought the carpeting was glue to the outer top of the shell or is it like a headliner and you have space between the carpeting layer and the outer fiberglass. Don't want to screw into and out of the top of the shell.

Nice. I would love to have seething like this but my shortest rod is a 6'8"

 

Hmm my 10.5 foot chinook rod might be a little close for a long bed haah. Someone on here made rod holders that go on the bed rail ding those rotopacks mounts.
