Yeah, not the best picture... Sorry.

There are (5) phillips head screws that secure the inside trim panel to the lid of the center console box. If you imagine the center screw (closest to the driver), mount the actuation magnet just rearward of that screw on the inside of the trim panel.

I'll try to get some better pictures soon. Also, should be getting some pictures for the glove box installation.

It just hit me as I woke up - you have the mounting plate 180 degrees out - it's magnetically polarized. The reason for this is to ensure proper orientation when you remount the unit after remote use. The reed switch is offset and designed to be on the top edge closest to the actuation magnet.

If you flip the unit 180, check the 'click into place' feeling. If it clicks, you'll need to flip the mounting plate. If this is the case, let me know. I'll send you more adhesive.

Yep, that was the issue, turned the unit 180 degrees and it snapped right into place and feels nice and solid! Good job guys, this really is a great product, I will take another one if you are going to send me some adhesive, I will paypal you tonight later. Thanks again.

Excellent! Just make sure you're still getting proper switch actuation.

I can have another unit in the mail tomorrow with extra adhesive!

Yes, you are correct. I am working on additional pictures and also trying to develop a better installation guide.

I just installed a white one in my cooler to field test this week-end while camping.

Simple, yes. However, the exact positioning is somewhat sensitive. I recommend locating both the unit and actuation magnet using either blue painters tape or masking tape while confirming your final positions.

Got the glove box light in, loving it! Still just enough clearance for the holster to fit to open and close without any issues. It's still light out but it does a nice job of lighting that compartment, thumbs up!
Oh and I found that offsetting the actuation magnet in front of one of the batteries gives you the best results.

Absolutely correct - offsetting the magnet to either side of center is the best.

Nice job! Hope you enjoy it! :D
