Basically yep. It's a gray metallic paint I picked up, it looks great actually. That color I ordered was just a wee-bit too light!

Got mine today and really happy! I actually got lucky because there were extras from the April batch! However, I have to wait for the mid bracket before I can mount my big Model-t. :(

Anyone have suggestions for mounting a big model-t to a stock 2006 taco grille without having to wait until October?

Someone was able to mount the Model T by fabricating a mid bracket mockup using plastic, all you need to do is translate the holes you already have onto the plastic material and use the proper #10-32 screws. I haven't seen any pictures but I was told it's possible.

Andres,

Thanks for the reply. That was me.

I decided to try it out and I forgot about my post. I'm kinda sleep deprived and not remembering a whole lot.

I can't explain what kind of plastic I used but it's a thin, hard-stock and durable plastic so I gave it a try. it works, is snug and solid but I kinda sucked at it. It looks a little high up, but is still badass. I will still buy Andres' bracket since I am OCD.

You have to not only line up the holes but also make sure the emblem doesn't sit too high or too low. Mine looks a little high as you can see the outer circle of the placement for the original emblem. I'll post pics soon.

Oh and Just fyi the plastic I used was a casing used for the Cyborg Rat7 mouse parts. I don't know what type of plastic it is, but it's 1/16" thick and will NOT shatter or break when you bend it. I drilled my holes and put the screws through and cinched the screws down. Did not crack or give at all.

See this link for pics of the plastics for the Rat 7:

The 2011+ Tacoma grille has a curve on the side. It may seem that the Model T emblem is sticking out too much but that's the nature of the grille.

Andres and I have had a little confusion back and forth.

For anybody looking to put a Model T on a 2011+ Tacoma your gonna want to get the large one. This is what the small one will look like:

Andres has been good through all of the confusion so I am sure we will work this out as well. The workmanship is excellent!

Hmmm

This is why I made a note in my listing about Model T sizes:

Model T sizes:
Big Model T (emblem size 6.8 in. by 4.7 in, recommended for oval width 5.5in. and above)
Small Model T (emblem size 5.5 in. by 3.8 in, recommended for oval width 5.5in. and below)

There's also the emblem sizes for each vehicle (oval width)

2005-2010 Tacoma (emblem width: 5.50 inches)
2011+ Tacoma (emblem width: 6.30 inches)

Also did you buy a mid bracket for installation?
PM me your email address bro, I keep some spare emblems for this reason.

Before I ask anything else about these, does anyone have a devil horn logo on a billet grille? just ordered mine to replace my failed project, and was very interested in these emblems.

In this thread there are directions for how to contact Andres and get the info. I think he only sells a couple of times a year due to an agreement with Toyota.
