I already posted this in the norcal and socal section, but wanted to post it in the main forum just incase some of you don't venture down into those sections.

It's time to start planning for the 7th Annual Pismo Jamboree! We started planning already, now you guys need to start planning to show up!

    Where: Oceano Dunes SVRA, CA
    When: September 25-27, 2009
    Who: You and your friends!

We've got big plans for this year's event, starting off with a new website!
    Check it out!
    www.pismojamboree.com

The website will be your all inclusive resource for the event, and will have the most up to date information. We will of course be adding to it as more of our planning is finalized, and we will let you know here when new changes have been made to the site.
As of right now you will have to post up here to be added to the "attendee list", but soon we hope to have it so that you can add yourself directly on the website.
One of the things we are really excited about is this year's GPS Challenge. We have big plans for it and I've already done one prerun in our planning for it. This will be one area of the website you will want to pay attention to for changes, as we add more details, rules, hints, etc...
So, check out the website and give us your feedback!
    www.pismojamboree.com

I hope to see all the same faces and many new faces,
    Chris

For those who have never been, here are the pics and trip report from last year's jambo.
2008 Pismo Jamboree Pics and trip report

This is open to all toyotas no matter what forum you hang out on. Heck even bring your friends who drive non toyotas. The more the merrier! :D

:D Sweet! I'll get you both added to the list. I think this puts us at about 43 attendees now!:burnrubber: :mudding::thumbsup: Click for Attendee List

I guarantee you will have fun and it is worth the drive. Last year we had one guy drive down from washington in his 2wd 1st gen pickup w/ATV and two guys from the east coast flew out. One of those guys looks like he is going to be able to fly out again this year.

I don't think the guy has anymore left. Lance was the one who picked them up for me and dealt with the guy. The first round, I think Lance picked up about 10 and I bought 3 of those. Then the guy quit selling them and just recently he put them back up on craigslist, and Lance went and picked up 12 more, 2 for him and my dad bought the other 10:laugh:. I think Lance said the guy only had a few more left and the buyer was already on his way to get those ones.

Apparently the guy bought a semi truck load of them from one of those gov. auction sites. :D

I'll ask Lance if the guy has anymore, but it seriously sounded like the guy was done with them. They are really bitchin' cases, but are ginormous. 2 pretty much fill up the bed of our shortbed tacos and that is with one laying on its side. 2 won't lay side by side in a taco bed. (I know this because I took the taco down to LA to pick my wife up at the airport, and I picked up 2 more cases from Lance and then went to the airport. I thought for sure I was going to get pulled over and checked going into the airport with 2 missilecases in the back. Nope, they just waved me on through!)

Haha! Yeah, I told my wife if I kick the bucket anytime soon, just use one of the cases for my casket and save herself some money. Only problem is, I think they would have to fold me in half to get me to fit.

Cool, another local to add to the list. :headbang:

Just a quick poll, who is pretty sure that they will be getting clam chowder this year? [IMG]

If so, do you want a bread bowl?

This isn't anything official, I'm just trying to get a general idea of the numbers.

    Thanks [IMG]

    Just some updates:
    1. Check out the current Attendee List

    2. Check out our growing list of sponsors and raffle prizes.

    3. The tshirts and sticker designs are done and should be up on the website soon along with the clam chowder/bread bowls and the shopping cart so you can pay for it all. I'll post up when we get that up. We're just waiting for final pricing on the shirts and the chowder.
