Who's got 55 watt hid's in their fogs?

Are they to bright for oncoming traffic? Any problems with melting the housing? I heard they run hotter than 35 watt.

 

ANY wattage HID in fog housings is too bright for oncoming traffic.
Your proper lamps have a dap of black paint on the tip to shield the filament from oncoming traffic. HID do not.

 

Why would you even put your fogs when its not foggy? if that is what you're going to do. Any yes they're bad and might melt housing.

 

I run them as dtrl. I have anytime fogs mod.

 

Oh. Im sure at night it will be blinding for drivers. Probably turn them off at night, but keep on during day. That way they don't get too hot and melt your housing.

 

He lives in Vegas. How is running them in the daytime going to be cooler than night?

 

It gets down to the 90's at night. Lol.

I have 55 watt fogs, no issues, run them when ever usually not in traffic. Try to not run them with I am not moving but so far no issues.
