Heims aren't just got greasing issues, threaded heims with bungs will give the adjustability to pull the neg out

 

That sounds what I'd like to have the adjustability to bring the negative out and bring the wheel lil out so my set up don't look staggered

 

That's the only way to do it. Ill get around to that someone myself so my tires wear better.

Any of you guys who switched to the djm lower have your stock ones lying around and can take some measurements and some pics for me? I got a 6 lug and I'm fairly certain it won't fit but I'm trying to cover all my bases. My sway bar is getting in the way and I'm not ready to ditch it yet. Looking for outside to outside of the bushings, distance between the bushings, thickness of the bushings and approximate distance from the pivot to the ball joint. Thanks, it may help me out a lot.

 

Yeup stock 1gr, cut it up and welded it in.

They don't, already tried what your are attempting. I can humor you if you want later in the week as I still have stock uppers and lowers. Bushong mounts don't lineup, balljoint/spindse mounts are off, and sway bar don't work. Sway bars went transfer from 5 to 6lug either

 

Thanks Phil. Back to square one. Going to go back and take out 3/4" of my spacer. Should get everything back in line, at least more than it is now. Kinda bummed, going to give up some drop to improve handling. Another $100 to get alignment. Will wait til I get some bigger wheels, smaller tires and better springs and dampeners. Dammit, thought I was wrapping this up.

 

What's your current setup hirod and what are you trying to achieve?

 

Got a tundra racing lowering kit (2"). Added 1-1/2" spacers but shortened my knuckle 1-1/2". Light racing UCAS. Hellwig 1-3/8" sway bar. Factory 18" wheels and tires.

Trying to get as low as possible without sacrificing too much. Just a little beyond that threshold right now. Got lots of bump steer, interference with the sway bar, cleaning fender flares on big bumps/dips. Can't live with those right now. Going to take out 3/4" of spacer and see where that puts me. If I can eliminate those I'll be happy for now. Plan after that I dunno. Still need to do the helper bags for the back.

Not trying to get slammed, not trying to build a race truck. Just a comfortable and reliable daily driver that handles well and accommodates shuttling my kids around.

IMO best bet be to go possibly bigger wheels on some shorter than stock tires that way can kill some clearance issues as well as drop a bit but I know you just bought ur wheels and tires which is a bummer in this case
But like I said just my opinion you look almost the height of a stock x

 

Taking those spacers out under the knuckles will help a lot. As for the Helwig sway bar, is that up front? If it is thicker than OEM, that could the reason it is having clearance issues.

I have a no bump steer or any of the other problems you listed, and mine sits about as low as a XII lowered XR. Maybe a little lower...

 

XII lowered? Which lowering kit are you talking about? The minimal or the 2/3

 

Not sure. Whatever Grumpy has. Mine compares to his, except that mine is a tad higher because my wheel/tire combo is taller than his.

 

damn how did u fix ur bump steer, my truck still has it

 

My truck is a 6 lug, so the differences in suspensions must be how. Never have had bump steer. Probably haven't had it set low enough to get it the induced bump steer. I have had plenty of people drive mine as well, and not one has ever noticed or mentioned it either.

 

You need to level your rack back out. There is a fix but it's pricey. Guy did a site up on xru.
